Berry Hill Road Waterline Extension
Design of approximately 30,000 lf of water main to serve the proposed Mega Park. Scope of services included a Preliminary Engineering Report, Construction Document Preparation, Bidding and Construction Administration and Project Management. The project was funded by the Tobacco Indemnification Committee.
Gretna Streetscape Improvements and Bike Paths
Civil Engineering design provided for the streetscape improvements along Main Street in Gretna, VA, as well as the construction of a bike lane for the federally funded project. The scope of services for Phase I included the design of the Gateway at Route 40 East and Main Street, which will include signage design, landscaping, and aesthetic improvements to existing traffic lights and the construction of the pedestran sidewalk.
ODAC Water and Sewer Extension
Utility design for a new multi-purpose agricultural center located near Chatham VA. Design included approximately 4,000 lf of 4" and 12" waterline, 8,000 lf of 4" force main, sewer pump station and water booster station. Services also included construction administration and project management. R-C teamed with a Lynchburg engineering firm to complete the work.
Pittsylvania County Compactor Sites
Provided Site Design, Bidding and Construction Administration and Project Management services for the paving and improvement to various solid waste compactor sites in Pittsylvania County.
Ringgold Road Waterline Extension
Design of 9,500 lf of waterline extending from the existing water tank in Ringgold East Industrial Park to Highway 58 in Ringgold, VA. Scope of services included Surveying and Base Mapping, Construction Document Preparation, Easement Plat Preparation, Bidding and Construction Administration and Project Management.
Riverwalk Trail Extension
Design of pedestrian riverwalk for linear parkway as an extension from the "Crossing at the Dan" along the Dan River in Danville, VA. Scope of services included Data Collection, Surveying, Preliminary Layout, Design and Construction Document Preparation and Construction Administration.
Sappony Trading Path
Design of a 2.5 mile recreational trail and 4,000 linear feet of bike lane located in Halifax County, VA that is partially funded by a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) TEA-21 grant. Scope of services included Surveying, Preliminary Trail Alignment, Concept Plan, Trail Design, Cultural Center Design, Logo and Signage, Landscape Design, Project Management and Construction Administration.
Three Creek/Garland P. Road Extensions
Design of two (2) road extensions to serve new clients in the Greensville County Industrial Park. Scope of services included Surveying, Road Design, Bidding and Construction Administration, Construction Inspection and Project Management. The project was partially funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG
Truck Driver Training School
Provided a Preliminary Engineering Report and Cost Estimating to assist in obtaining a grant from the Education Committee of the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Development Commission. Following release of grant funds, provided Design, Construction Administration and Project management for the construction of riving ranges, parking areas and an entranceway.
Whispering Pines Waterline Extension
Design of approximately 13,500 lf of waterline to serve the Whispering Pines area and Inman Road. Scope of services included Surveying and Base Mapping, Construction Document Preparation, Bidding and Construction Administration, Preparation of Easement Plats and Project Management.
Mega Park Sewer
Teamed with a local engineering firm to provide the sewer infrastructure for the proposed Mega Park in Pittsylvania County. Our scope of services includes the design of approximately 10,400 lf of 24” gravity sewer and 11,500 lf of 10” gravity sewer along with an inverted siphon that is approximately 1,000 LF.
Mega Park Water
Teamed with a local engineering firm to design the waterline improvements for the proposed Mega Park in Pittsylvania County. Scope of services included the design of approximately 9,500 lf of 16” waterline along with control assistance of 8,700 lf of 16” waterlline and the design of three ground storage tanks. Services also included Construction Administration, Construction Inspection and Project Management.
Wood Fuel Developers Industrial Access Road
Design of a new industrial access road to serve a new wood pellet facility in the community of Jarratt, Virginia. Design included a 1,400 lf access road to VDOT standards and all associated hydraulic, geometric design and erosion and sediment control.
